Zach Robinson, PLS
Zach, our principal and founder, is a California Professional Land Surveyor. Zach got into surveying at the age of 18 out of high school, while completing an internship with the Florida Department of Health, GIS department. He then went on to complete a Bachelors of Science in Surveying Engineering from UMaine. He is one of the youngest licensed surveyors in California and takes pride on being able to serve the communities he lives in.
When not surveying, Zach enjoys traveling the world, volunteering remotely as a part time educator at the University of Maine, spending time with his wife, and studying up on the latest news and trends in the Geospatial industry. Zach has a unique perspective on the Land Development world, as he has surveyed in 2 countries and 6 different states. Zach regularly contributes to the geospatial community through educational publications, monetary donations to scholarship funds, and through volunteering.
Golden Gate Surveying
Golden Gate Surveying was started by Zach as a passion project. Being one of the youngest surveyors in the State, Zach identified a unique problem common among most surveyors: we are old fashioned! Golden Gate Surveying is out to change that.
We are a fully remote firm (savings passed on to our clients), we utilize the most up to date equipment, and are able to adapt to your unique project. Not every project can be treated with the same process, and we are adaptable to your needs. By working with us, you are giving your project the right start to keep it moving in the right direction. We hope to break the pattern and show others that surveyors are professional, knowledgeable and adaptable.
